Bits and Pieces – February 18, 2011

In this week’s edition of Bits and Pieces there is a story on using spin bicycles in a gym to provide electricity back to the gym and a fun video on bicycle safety – leaving home without your lights (or pants) as the case may be.

Spin Bikes Energise the Cyclists and the Gym

The Columbia Athletic Club in Maryland recently replaced its aging “fleet” of stationary spin bikes with 28 Green Revolution energy-producing cycles, which in addition to providing gym-goers a workout are actually helping power the building.  More details in the story at BikeRadar.com.
