December 24, 2010 – Bits and Pieces in the World of Cycling and Hiking

This is an ad hoc page of bits and pieces I found on the web.  This postings is mainly cycling related but can including hiking or other related titbits. My thanks to Treadly and Me and Professor Bob Jensen for the idea for this posting.

Men who spend five hours a week or more cycling have lower sperm counts and semen quality than those who undertake most other forms of exercise, not to mention those who lead sedentary lifestyles, according to new research.

Track World Cup: Six Medals for LOOK

The Track World Cup opening round ended in Melbourne on 4th December. LOOK with its 496 track frame claimed a Gold medal which was won by the Chinese Team in the women’s team sprint, two Silver medals (Canadian Tara Whitten in Women Omnium, and French team Sandie Clair in 500m women TT), and three Bronze medals won by the French team (Sandie Clair in women’s team sprint, Mickaël Bourgain in Men Keirin and Clara Henriette in Women Keirin).
