Come n’ Try Day “Cycling for all abilities” in November 2012

come n 039 try day Cycling WA is having its annual Come n’ Try day where you can come along and find out what cycling is all about and that there are a variety of bikes, suitable for people of all abilities. At Come n’Try day you can take a ride around the cycle track on a bike of your choice, including trikes, tandems, hand-cycles and many more and find out which suits your needs best.

Come n’ Try day is being held on:

Date: Saturday 3rd November
Time: 10am to 1pm
Venue: George Burnett Park, Manning Road, Karrawarra (behind the leisure centre)

At Come n’ Try day you can enjoy the opportunity to learn some basic cycling skills, bike safety techniques and tips on how to keep your bike in top condition, from Austycle accredited coaches.

Interested in taking it a step further, then have a chat to the coaches on the day or get in contact with Claire South at Cycling WA, claire.south@cycling.org.au to find out what coaching oppotunities may be available to you.

Need help with getting into cycling? Then visit each organisation and see what they have to offer whilst collecting as many stamps as you can in your very own participation passport. Organisations that will be there include: Inclusion WA, Therapy Focus, TADWA, Variety WA, The Centre for Cerebral Palsy, Pedal Sports and Toys, Dream fit Foundation, Wheelchair Sports, WADSA, Department of Sport and Recreation, Western Australian Tandem Advisory Council, Midland Cycling Club and the Australian Paralympic Committee.

Bring your family and friends and come and enjoy a day filled with fun cycling activities and be in with a chance to win a voucher to the value of $320 (Kindly donated by David Young Bikes and Trikes) by simply coming to the Information Booth on arrival and registering your entry! For those who are hungry, a sausage sizzle and drinks will be available on the day.
