Product Safety Recalls Australia have announced a recall of Avanti Derelikt street and dirt jump bikes, Types 1, 2 and 3. Â Apparently the head tube may be prone to cracking when used in certain circumstances; not nice! If you have one of these bikes from 2006. 2007 or 2008 you should follow-up on this recall.
The recalled bikes model identification details are:
2006 – Derelikt 1, 2 and 3 models (serial number U5+)
2007 – Derelikt 1, 2 and 3 models (serial number U6+)
2008 – Derelikt 1, 2 and 3 models (serial number U7+)
They where sold from July 1, 2005 through to April 1, 2011 (a slow seller it seems).
If you have one of these bikes you should riding the bicycles immediately and contact the place of purchase to arrange for a replacement frame to be ordered and delivered to the place of purchase for refitting.
