Salsa Vaya and Salsa La Cruz after-market bicycle forks and forks fitted to the Salsa Vaya bicycles and framesets have been recalled by Product Safety Recalls Australia in-cooperation with the Dirt Works Australia Pty Ltd due to an issue with the forks bending.

Salsa Vaya and La Cruz Bicycle Forks Defect

Product Safety Recalls Australia are advising that there is a risk that the Salsa Vaya and La Cruz after-market bicycle forks (black) and orange or charcoal coloured forks that came with Salsa Vaya bicycles or framesets may bend during use just above the disc brake mounting point.

The bicycles, framesets and forks where for sale in Australia between February 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012.

Batch codes are located on the steerer tube.

This recall sounds very similar to the recall in May 2013 of Surly Pugsley bicycles due to similar issue with their forks.
