Silly Commuter Cup Racing Scalp 2013-04

I thought this year I would have some fun with my own inept efforts at “racing” or “training” or just being a fat cyclist and document some of my more interesting Silly Commuter Cup Racing scalps and losses.

At It’s Not A Race, there are rules and there is a Food Chain Number for your SCCR scalp rating. My Food Chain Number or value is four so for me to score I need to keep at bay or drop a rider with an equal or a lower Food Chain score than mine.

Now with scalp number four for 2013 I didn’t actually pass him but then I didn’t let him pass me either so I am claiming it as one. Heck it is not a race right so one can “make up the rules” 🙂

In fairness to the rider he put in a lot of effort to catch me and did have a look at passing but I was able to discourage him with a touch of speed and relatively fast get aways at the lights. All up a nice bit of fun and I enjoyed the challenge. Also happy to see him vanish behind as well! 🙂

My previous Silly Commuter Cup Racing “Events” in 2013 where …

This was a bonus as I was on my loaded Surly Long Haul Trucker which has a Food Chain Number of eight as I was also wearing baggies.

This was taking out of an e-bike which actually has a Food Chain Number of 14 so I don’t score for this one which is a bit disappointing as they are hard to catch at times. Oh well.

While this one gave me some personal pleasure under the rules of Its Not Racing there is no score for me either really I shouldn’t be claiming it as a scalp. Ah well.

hahaha I never score on SCR rankings, except for maybe sometimes on my aluminium roadie (flat pedals, pannier, baggys) when I can sometimes get higher ranking roadies. I did get a roadie on my xtracycle (loaded) going uphill last year, he was having a really bad day.
