Tuesday February 19, 2008 Ride Journal

Continued my modified home to ECU campus ride at Churchlands. A nice 9 km into the office. No dramas this morning. I did add in a spot of geocaching, calling in on my Stargate P31115 Lake Herdsman TB Cache to pick up a geocoin for overseas travel.

Ride home tonight was good with less hassle at the Empire Road roundabout. However, I did drop the chain off the small chain ring as I got on the Herdsman Lake bike path. Two days in a role! I think a front dérailleur adjustment is needed.

East s easterly blowing tonight on my ride to Fremantle. Much prefer this over the south-westerly. Had one Heart Rate Spike Moment tonight at the point where the bike path meets up with Gugeri Street/Graylands Road intersection. A women in yellow/black Mirage or similar turned right into me as I entered Gugeri Street. Nice. She had her passenger window done, so I am guessing she got the message loud and clear.

Overall pretty happy with the evening ride. Put some effort in and got my heart rate up to 168 bpm with an average of 141 bpm. I really need to start doing some harder riding I think.

Total of 39 km today.
