WestCycle: Western Australia’s New Peak Cycling Body

The Honourable Terry Waldron, Minister for Sport and Recreation has announced the formation of WestCycle, a new peak cycling body. The Minister’s press release is light on for details other than $200,000 of funding is to be provided in the first year to establish the board and that it will be chaired by Craig Smith-Gander and will include the former Australian of the Year, Fiona Wood. Relevance of this is beyond me.

More details would be nice Minister; nothing as yet on the Department of Sport and Recreation website or the Department of Transport’s website that I can find.
