The City of Vincent is working with Dismantle to put in place two bike maintenance programs for City of Vincent residents. First up, they are offering a series of free bike checkups on bike paths around Vincent – and then some hands-on bike maintenance sessions with the experts.
City of Vincent Bicycle Maintenance Free Pop-up Bike Check-ups
Dismantle’s Bike Dr is a pop-up bike workshop with experienced mechanics running brief participatory health checks. Commuters can chat with a mechanic, run through a 9-point health checklist and get an idea of future maintenance needs.
The Bike Dr sessions are free – just ride up on your way to work or on your morning ride and visit the stall. It’s a judgment-free, fun and simple way to get the tyres inflated and your bike safe and back on the road.
They’ll be popping up on the main bike path routes throughout Vincent on these dates:
All Bike Dr Sessions are run between 7am – 9.30am at the following locations:
Friday 31 January – Banks Reserve, East Perth
Friday 7 February – Palmerston St (cnr Stuart Street), Perth
Friday 14 February – Britannia Reserve, Leederville
Hands-on Bicycle Maintenance Sessions
The City of Vincent is also hosting two bicycle maintenance sessions to offer residents a great opportunity to get some great hands-on experience on how to maintain their bikes.
The sessions will be separated into two levels:
